Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026

Golinski Ventures sp. z o.o. ("we", "us", or "our") operates Worry Cat, a mobile application that helps users hold their worries with a calm cat companion. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data Controller

The controller of your personal data is:
Golinski Ventures sp. z o.o.
ul. Smardzewska 7, Łagiewniki Nowe
95-002 Smardzew, Poland

Local-first by design

Worry Cat is built local-first: the content you create in the app stays on your device. We do not upload, read, or store that content on our servers, and we do not sell your personal data.

One exception, and it is entirely your choice: the app offers an opt-in backup (Android Auto Backup / iCloud). It is off by default. If you turn it on, your device’s operating system includes your worries in the encrypted backup of your own Google or Apple account. That copy goes to you, not to us — we still never see it.

Information we collect

We may collect limited app usage and diagnostics data, device and OS information, purchase and entitlement information (via the App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat), and any messages you send us for support.

This data is pseudonymous, not anonymous: our analytics and crash-reporting tools generate a random per-installation identifier so that events from one install can be grouped together. That identifier is not linked to your name, email address or any account — Worry Cat has no accounts — but because it is not fully anonymous we treat it as personal data. On Android it is reset if you reinstall the app; on iOS part of it derives from a vendor identifier that can persist while any of our apps remains installed on the device.

We do not use an advertising identifier, we show no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use information

To provide and improve the app, process subscriptions, provide customer support, prevent abuse, analyze performance, and comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services

We use the Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution and payments), RevenueCat (subscription and entitlement management), and Google Firebase — specifically Firebase Analytics for pseudonymous usage statistics, Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics, and Firebase Remote Config. These services process data according to their own privacy terms.

The content of your worries is never sent to any of them. Only event metadata (for example “a worry was saved”, or the length of a text) ever leaves the device, and never the text itself.

Analytics choices

Usage analytics and crash diagnostics are always on. They are pseudonymous, carry no advertising identifier, and never include the content of your worries — only event metadata such as “a worry was saved”. If you would rather not have them collected at all, the app can be deleted, which stops collection and removes every worry stored on the device. Worry Cat does not send push notifications, and reminders are scheduled entirely on your device.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Data retention & deletion

You control your in-app data on your device. To remove associated data, see Delete data or contact us at contact@golinski-ventures.pl. We remove or anonymize personal data unless retention is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information.

Children

Worry Cat is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction).
